Elisha & Jonny
Rackleys, Chiltern Hills
April
Elisha & Jonny were models for this styled shoot, it was the perfect ‘engagement shoot’ for them as they are getting married next year. The shoot was something I had wanted to plan for a long time. A colourful, Mexican inspired shoot with hints of Frida Khalo flora, which came with amazing smells!
I grouped together some fantastic suppliers to work together on the shoot, all who were really excited about the prospect of these bright, almost clashing colours. Rackleys was the perfect location with its high ceiling barn & big windows to pour in lots of natural sunlight. The brand new venue has only just been completed & all the suppliers were filled with excitement when they saw it for the first time.
I wanted to celebrate Rackleys’ plethora of ceremony location options so we shot an outside ceremony, overlooking the freshly laid lawn & what will soon become a wild flower meadow. Sam from SD Celebrations was the celebrant & she can host your ceremony anywhere, allowing for your ceremony to be held anywhere you choose. Sam wanted to continue with the Mexican theme & included a lama piñata during the ceremony that held the couples rings, along with some love hearts. One the piñata was broken open by the couple, they could then exchange rings. The second ceremony was held in the main barn, with the back drop of the large window & the hanging LED fairy lights that give a fantastic bokeh effect. During this ceremony Sam performed a sand ceremony. This is where the bride & groom combine different coloured sand (nice and bright of course) from their own vessels into one combined vessel. This shows their unity & creates a beautiful reminder of their wedding day.
Rackleys’ caterers made Mexican inspired food for the meal, which went down treat with everyone. They also had Rackleys wine, grown & produced just down the road. The flowers by Blossom & Ivy were amazing, they smelt diving & were just everywhere; bride’s hair, bouquets, up the bannister, on the chairs & of course on the tables. The bride wore 2 dresses & had 2 bridesmaids too, all supplied by Pure Couture. The dresses were all boho style & fitted the occasion perfectly.
Huge thanks to all the fantastic suppliers who took part in this shoot, they were all amazing & highly recommended for any weddings you may be planning:
