From the minute I met Julia & Andrew I knew their wedding was going to be spectacular. They are so welcoming and friendly and yet have such grace & style and this was all certainly evident on their amazing wedding. Before their wedding day I took some engagement photos for them on their new boat. They had only picked up the new boat that morning so it was touch and go that they would have it in time, but it made for some stunning engagement photos on the Thames near their home.
Andrew has two vintage Sunbeam cars that he has lovingly restored, so it seemed fitting to have them centre stage at the front of Hedsor gleaming in the sun ready for when their guests arrived.
Julia is originally from America, so Hedsor, with all its bedrooms was the perfect place for her US family to stay over on the night of the wedding. The bridal suite at Hedsor, where Julia and her ‘entourage’ prepared for the celebrations, had huge light filled rooms. Julia wore a stunning Suzanne Neville dress teamed with a pair of sparkly Christian Louboutin ankle boots. Andrew also dressed at Hedsor with his two bestmen; his friend Gareth & Andrew’s son Harry. Andrew’s suit was from Mark Merengo at Saville Row.
Andrew’s daughter Maddy sang to all the guests while Andrew & Julia signed the register. Andrew had arranged a surprise for Julia and all their guests, a 20 strong male choir who appeared on the balcony as the ceremony finished. They were incredible and finished off the ceremony perfectly. That wasn’t the only surprise for Julia, Andrew did his speech before the meal and burst in to songs that he had re-written with lyrics to tell their story. He was accompanied on guitar by his friend and professional guitarist Rudi. Each course was followed by a speech; Julia’s two sisters told of childhood anecdotes, then Julia took to the mic to gave us her speech. Finally Gareth & Harry joined forces for the bestmens’ speech and with the help of a slideshow, they has all the guests laughing at some great photos!
Andrew & Julias’ first dance started the evening reception off, the couple had choreographed a fantastic routine, however Julia had to have a quick change into a more suitable dress for dancing! After their dance and when the dance floor was rocking thanks to live band The Bears. Andrew’s daughter sung again, accompanied by the band, and put on a stunning performance, wowing everyone. After this Rudi picked up his guitar again and jammed with The Bears too, making sure everyone was dancing along to his rendition of Purple Rain.
