I first met Maddy & Jack at Maddy’s Mum’s wedding that I was photographing. Then when Jack popped the question, they asked me to photograph their special day. We did an engagement shoot in Burnham Beeches and then, due to Covid, they decided to postpone their wedding for a year to make sure it could be perfect with no restrictions. In that time they got themselves an adorable puppy, so we did a second engagement shoot with Milo.
On the wedding day Maddy got ready at her Mum’s house with her bridesmaids, the hustle & bustle in the house added to the excitement and each member of the bridal party got some thoughtful & personalised gifts. Once dressed Maddy defended the stairs and tower her bridesmaids in her dress. Then her Dad came in the room and the tears started flowing! Jack & his groomsmen got ready at their home and were driven to the venue in a classic police car as Jack & his best man are both police.
The ceremony was held inside High Billishurst Farm lead my celebrant Miranda, whose knowledge of the couple made for an emotive and beautiful celebration. Afterwards the confetti flew, the drinks flowed and the canapés were enjoyed by all. The groups photos were on the lawn looking out over the stunning countryside. Afterwards Maddy & Jack had some couple photos in the sunken, walled garden, across the fields & in the barn. The rain came just as their wedding breakfast started, which was perfect timing.
After the hilarious speeches the guests enjoyed the lawn games & some fun photos, then it was time for the band, who rocked the night away. As they took a break the guests cooled off outside and lit a sparkler to celebrate the new mr & Mrs Donnelly with a sparkling tunnel of love & cheer!
