Newborn
After having my own two little ones I really got to understand how precious newborn photographs are and how much you cherish them! My aim is to capture all those lovely curled up squishy newborn poses that can be created into stunning wall art for your home. A newborn shoot is best for babies between 5-16 days, This is when baby is still very sleepy and less aware of movements, allowing us to glide through all those newborn poses. I would recommend getting in touch before you are due, if you would like to chat about things, but as soon as possible once baby is born, contact me to get booked in. However something I have learnt from the constraints of Covid, that newborn photos are still possible at 6 weeks, even 2 months old. At this age getting sleeping photos can take longer, but babies are more alert, so I can get some beautiful pictures with babies eyes open.
Your photoshoot will be held at my lovely, calm studio in Maidenhead. Your photoshoot is completely private and a time for you guys to relax while you have a hot coffee or tea with the use of both hands and enjoy the experience!!! Newborn shoots can last between 2-3 hours it just completely depends on how little one settles. If little one has a sibling or siblings then they can certainly get involved, this is generally towards the end of the shoot. When booking please inform me of how many children will be attending and their ages and we can go through some options. Safety is my main priority throughout the shoot so if baby has any problems please let me know asap so I can create a workflow that will suit baby.
Bumps
My style is very gentle and feminine, creating gorgeous, flattering, natural portraits. I will help you pose, where necessary, so that you look your best. I also love to include your partner and any older children in the photos too – and dogs have been known to be part of the shoot! ! I know partners can be nervous and reluctant, but the whole session will be easy and relaxed. I generally recommend booking your pregnancy photoshoot to take place around the 30-34 week mark, or a little later if you have a smaller bump! Sessions usually take about 1 hour and can be in the studio or in a location of your choice.
Pricing
Newborn
Will last approx. 3 hours, these cost £85, I suggest booking your session in your 2nd or 3rd trimester or as soon as you can once your baby has been born.
Bumps
These last approximately 1 hour and cost £45
The session fee must to be paid in advance, an invoice will be emailed once you have booked. If you have a voucher, please bring it along to the session.

What to expect
Newborn
Before your photo shoot, I recommend holding off from feeding your baby so you can feed them when we have them undressed and ready. Please have plenty of feed, wipes & nappies for your baby and feel free to bring food for yourselves too. Some of the best pictures are with you both in too, but don’t worry, the focus will be entirely on your baby, but the connection between the 3 of you can make for some beautiful pictures. These work best if you can both wear plain coloured tops, black or white work particularly well. You might also consider some skin on skin pictures where you are cradling your baby with no top on, these will be tastefully photographed. I have a small selection of props such as hats, blankets, basket, bucket etc, but please feel free to bring your own items to make it more personal, especially if there is a particular image you would like. Be prepared for lots of sitting around and chilling out. I am used to being wee’d on and even the occasional number 2, do not worry, everything is washable!
Bumps
Obviously it is entirely up to you and your personal style as to what to wear for your maternity photos; the most important thing is that you feel comfortable. However, soft, floaty and feminine clothing in neutral colours or pastels photographs very well and will show off your growing belly beautifully. That sort of clothing also fits very well with my feminine style of maternity photography. For example, this might be a flowing dress or a simple tank top with a long skirt. For studio shoots, you might like to wear pretty underwear with an open shirt or cardigan. I do not provide props for your maternity photoshoot, but many clients do bring something sweet and meaningful to be included in some of the photos, such as tiny baby shoes.

FAQs
Are you a full time photographer?
Yes, I am a full time, self employed photographer and am a qualified member of the the British Institute for Professional Photographers.
Do you have insurance?
Yes absolutely! I am fully insured for public liability and professional indemnity.
Do you work on Sunday?
I work everyday of the week! And I can do your pictures anytime from 9 in the morning until 9 o’clock at night, just let me know what suits you.
When do I pay?
Once you have booked your session I will email you an invoice, this will confirm your booking once paid.
What if someone is ill?
This can not be helped and I would much rather reschedule your pictures than have someone feeling poorly. Just let me know ASAP.
How many images will we get to choose from?
There is no set number of images but you will get to see all the best ones from your session. On average, you can expect roughly 100.
Do all of the photos get edited?
Yes, every single image presented to you will be edited in my signature style.
Can I buy the digital Images?
Yes, there are different options depending on what you’d like them for, i.e. for small prints or large prints.
How long will it take until we can see our pictures?
Typically it will take 1 week for me to carefully edit your pictures and upload them to a private webpage. From there you can order online and share the link with family & friends.
Do you offer any packages?
Instead of you buying the pictures before I have taken them, I prefer to let you decide what you’d like to buy after you have seen them. You can buy prints, digital images and wall art and if you order within the first 2 weeks, you will get 10% off your order.
